butv10, Boston University's student-run television channel and companion website, has been recognized for excellence in student programming with a 2008 Aegis Award. The recognition is for Bay State, America's longest-running college soap opera.
"Winning the Aegis award definitely validates that Bay State has come a long way," said Co-Executive Producer Megan Faillace (COM 2009). "The entire staff put forth an incredible effort in the past year, and I'm so grateful to have been blessed with the opportunity to work with them all."
The Aegis Awards is a national competition that honors outstanding video production in a variety of categories, including drama, news and documentary work.
"It's been a really amazing experience to be a part of Bay State and watch the quality grow," said Executive Producer Josh Brown (COM 2009). "This honor is truly encouraging."
